SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

The Santa Paula Elementary School District is committed to meeting the unique educational needs of all eligible students with disabilities who reside within district boundaries. The district operates programs for children who have special needs ranging from age 3 through 8^th grades. Special education programs offered by the district include: Little Tykes Special Education Preschool; Special Day Classes for children with either mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities. Approximately 13% of the district’s students receive assistance from a wide variety of special education services such as speech and language, specialized academic instruction, occupational therapy, nursing and counseling. These services are designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
